Don’t get me wrong – I absolutely love the thrill of a wedding day. There’s an unpredictable amount of energy poured into coordinating every vendor and every participant, there’s the mad dash to fix inevitable snafus, and it’s a race against the clock to keep everything on schedule. Does it keep me up at night sometimes? Sure! But I live for it!

That said… I took the opportunity to capture photos during my best friend Khadija’s bachelorette weekend. Saturday was her bridal shower, and the theme was Petals & Prosecco. It was a day full of excitement and love for Khadija. Everything was perfectly planned by Events Unveiled and had some awesome vendors that provided the brunch, balloon garland and yummy desserts. The biggest hit of the bridal shower was the floral bar. All attendees were able to pick their favorite flowers and take them home.

That Sunday, the bridal party planned an afternoon at the Old Westminster Winery in Westminster, Maryland. This place was a wine lover’s dream and also one of Khadija’s favorite wineries to attend. During the fun, we nosh and laughed about all of the great memories with Khadija while having probably one of the best wines I have experienced. I remember when the bride mentioned this place and that I had to try the Honey wine ASAP! Before we left the winery, I wanted to capture some individual photos of the bride and had a mini bridal session. Although, Khadija did not wear her bridal gown, I wanted to capture how beautiful she was that day. Naturally, that makes for some seriously dreamy pictures, and that’s exactly what we got during my weekend with my bestie.
